lots more bracing I just started the main frame thing. its basically gonna have a big x from the front to the rear on the top and from the center bar at the top down to the back bar and some other braces. it will be safe. well safer than my pickup was more triangles

thank you and thats why I'm buildin not something you see everyday. Well I didn't get that much done this week or weekend. had to get a tooth pulled on wed and went in to the dentist and the tooth didn't wanna come out. two of the roots fused together and they had to cut up into my gums to get it out so been kinda under the weather. Well saturday had to clean around the house some and do a little maintenance on the daily and clean the shop so I don't work all over or around everything. I did pick up this sweet roof rack tho. figured it follows with the vintage theme By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-11 By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-11 Then today I loaded a few buddy's up and we went up to the swap meet in Puyallup didn't really need anything but I had never been and you never know what you could run across. Well didn't get much but did get a sweet sticker. I had the same one on my pickup. its funny cause the trucks pink. By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-11 Gonna try and get some work done this week. I feel like I slacked all last week and with the time change I can stay out longer and get stuff done

ok well I got a little bit of stuff done. mainly I got my cluch kit in the mail today By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-21 Ok well I've been skinning my tunnel and remodeling it. By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-21 don't know if I posted this but I had to cut the glove box to be able to open it around the cage. The sucky part was I put all my safety glasses in my glove box prior to puttin the cage in ha lame. By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-21 Hopefully getting more work done this weekend

ok well I picked up a radiator from leadfoot last weekend so I got around to test fitting and mocking it up this weekend. By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-25 By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-25 By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-25 Just an FYI when you weld something remember the said part is still very hot. and will burn you causing you to squeal like a girl and may even spit out a profanity or two. just an FYI By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-25 oh and the best part about burns is that they keep hurting for quite awhile after you hurt yourself. well got a little more done on the tunnel is basically done now just gotta add some paint By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-25 I also built rear drivelines for the scout actually made 2 out of my old one out of my old toyota. its 3" schedule 40 fits perfect By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-25 its pretty thick stuff By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-25 here are the 2 drivelines all done and welded up By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-25 well decided to dive into some wiring today and got my tach put in By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-25 I also installed my tail lights and turn signal lights By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-25

dont think you are the first or only one testing new welds to see if their HOT, dosent take much to figure it out either, also are those slipsplines going to be long enough?? looking good though

ha yeah best part was i welded thought " hmm i should go grab the sharpie off the kitchen table and let this cool a little then opened my scout door and wala sharpie on the floor then i forgot i just welded. and yeah they are rear drivelines and should have about 1.5'' of slip in and roughly 4" down so I think it will be fine. had less on my pickup cause I cut the splines on a stock driveline to make it fit and I never pulled one apart in the rear. Thank you kinda what I thought I started a build thread on Pirate when I first got the scout and they gave me a hard time about putting toy stuff in a scout cause most of them are hardcore scout guys

ok well I took my flywheel in to get resurfaced today and got it back this evening all done By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-26 I also mounted up some reverse lights where the stock shocks would have mounted up. they fit pretty good. probably get messed up in deep snow or mud but we will see. not a very good cell phone pic but if you look close you can see them on the inside of the shocks By mudmainac3 at 2012-03-26

ok did a little work after we went to browns camp I am remotivated. So got a better picture of my reverse lights By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-03 Then I installed my fairlead next just gotta do the winch By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-03 Then I started to install my clutch and flywheel By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-03 then fought the trans and cases back in which is a pain as a unit by urself By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-03 I also installed my rear third and axle shafts. I had a broken one in for a roller and since I broke the third in the gf 4runner didn't want her to talk me into putting it into her truck so I put it in mine haha. By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-03 Then I tossed the rear driveine in By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-03 By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-03 Oh then the girl friend got me a sticker By mudmainac3 at 2012-04-03
