well I've officially decided I need a garage this whole workin on the truck outside stuff sucks . I started the steering and what not with the truck on the trailer cause it was higher off the ground and its a pain to get the scout on and off the trailer with it not running. I had been working in the carport its enclosed but it floods so when it rains it puddles up and and not that fun. Got the dash in and painted this week. Gonna get the column in and steering box mounted so I can check lengths for my drag link so I can get it welded up and installed. Also gonna see about getting steering lines made.

well got some work done this week a little. I discovered that when you are cutting into the floor from the underside of the truck make sure you moved everything out of that are because spray paint cans make a mess of everything By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-17 I moved my steering box the 1'' farther forward to help clear itself and cut out some covers the frame plates to make it look nice. I also cut some floor out behind the back seat for my rear shocks. I picked up a 97 tacoma dash harness this week so I can get my motor all wired in and going. so tonight I started stripping the un-neccessary out of it. Only worked on it a little gotta get some schematics to see what all I can take out. By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-17 I also remembered I had my harnesses and wanted to see what they would look like with my seats By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-17 ya harness is pink

Its amazing how much work you can get done by urself. I usually work on my truck with a buddy on weekends and I get 1/3 of what I got done in a day. Well I tacked everything for the steering box mount in so we can just burn it all in later. By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-19 By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-19 By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-19 also tacked my fairlead mount up By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-19

I also tacked the rear diff cover on By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-19 I also tacked the rear bumpstops in By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-19 I then built a rear crossmember from between the spring mounts for a little more strength By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-19 I also tacked the rock slider braces in along with the rear frame plate By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-19 well then I had already moved the steering box as far forward as possible. the steering was still not right By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-19 Well then I moved the front end back an inch and added my degree shims in to help with the pinion angle By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-19 It helped but I had to cut off my bumpstops and move them back an inch as well By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-19 Here is what she looks like from the side now. I wish I wouldn't of had to move the front end back it was perfect where it was but ohwell By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-19

well I got a little more work done today. trying to get this thing done. I got the transmission tunnel partially done By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-19 I also started the real hard work. installing some stickers haha By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-19 I had also been getting a hard time for toy stuff in a scout and how people thought it wouldn't turn full lock. well thats what the spacers were for haha By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-19 By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-19 I also got the steering column installed and hooked up for the most part. By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-19 I also got the gas tank and shock mount cover started and pretty close to ready for skins. By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-19 By mudmainac3 at 2012-02-19

well didn't do much at all on the scout this week. I got the wiring diagrams at work so I can finish going through the rest of the harness and removing wires so I can put it in the scout. I'm about to leave right now to go pick up some 37" super swamper boggers for the rear of the scout and some 37" super swamper ssr's for the front. Gonna be my summer tires/ tires that I run on the road. the rears are about 70% and fronts near 40% but only 300 doll hairs. Ok well i'm off will have more work done this weekend

luckily its just paint everyone thought it was burns. I'm glad it wasn't and thank you I'm trying. Its a long process. I really just tired of this thing I want it done. I never thought it would be so much work. nothing really worked how I thought it would when I first started and has been much more work than I anticipated. I need to get out and beat on it cause I haven't gotten to wheel how I like cause I'm not suppose to beat on the ol lady's rig to much. But I'm hoping to have it going by end of march and wheelable in april but we all now how timelines usally work. out I'm sure something will just not work like its suppose to and something will have to be changed

thank you guys I'm glad people like it. Figured I would build something you don't really see on the trail to much. I thought I liked building them more than wheeling them but that was a lie haha. Cause now I just wanna wheel it
